I've kept a real Wall of Encouragement for years (middle snapshot above), which is now pinned layers-deep with your beautiful words. On the rough days (we all have 'em), I go back to those notes and draw strength - this practice is healthy for leaders. When the four winds began bringing waves of encouraging e-mails, it seemed reasonable to start an "E-Wall" at Thronetogether. I've editted and included some of those on this page, though many are just too personal to post. We've now received e-mails from every continent except Antarctica! (penguins praise God too, don't they?) I'm thrilled to see the Lord using this outreach ministry for His glory, and I send the following appreciative words right back up to Him where they belong. It's also insightful to read these comments and see how they reflect the hearts of God's worshipers all over the world. Blessings, Phil

Hello Pastor! I just read your article "Model Worship: A Small Imitation Of The Real Thing" and it just moved me. I am a Christ loving boy residing in Botswana (Africa) and want to serve God in a pleasing way so that the words from Isaiah 60:1-3 may come to pass. We are starting the praise and worship team and held a workshop about praise and worship. How do we kickstart a ministry, when we are not owning any instruments? Is it possible for us to make any kind of breakthrough without instruments? Thanx in advance, Lebogang K., Botswana, Africa
Phil, your article on “Model Worship” was great!! Funny, true, challenging, convicting, and liberating. Thanks for the time put into encouraging others. I’m an assistant (always tempted to abbreviate that part) worship leader for an amazingly talented, hugely gifted man. I constantly struggling with feeling inadequate. If I could copy someone – I would! But I’m not good enough to copy anyone, so I am just me and have to trust that people are getting God (in me) and not just me. You really encouraged me to keep it true and genuine – which I do focus on – because I can do nothing without Him. Have a great day, and thanks again. Blessings on you! Cindy, city not given
Phil, I just read your [Model Worship] article. It was awesome! My sentiments exactly. I'm going to pass this article along to our worship team. I lead worship and have struggled with finding "my authentic" voice and style for years. Trying to get past copying someone who I think sounds "so much better" than me, finally realizing that I'll never sound like Darlene Zschech - and that's ok! I sound like me! Your article really spoke to me and gives me more encouragement to continue the quest for "originality" in my worship (and my songwriting) of the King of Kings! And also, while I'm at it, I read all your articles and they are very helpful to me in leading our worship team. I'm constantly striving for excellence, because He's worth it! Thanks so much for taking the time to read my email. Blessings to you! Judy D, Tallahassee, Florida
Phil, just read your post on Model Worship. Great job. Thanks for pointing us to authenticity in our leadership and relationship with the Savior. Hope you’re doing well. Bob K, Sovereign Grace Ministries
Thanks for the great article [Model Worship] in this month's Integrity Newsletter. I was mad at you (just kidding) when I started reading, but so happy with the outcome! As a worship leader in a growing church with hardly any resources, we don't have a lot of options every week for new worship songs written by us or someone in our church, etc. Many times our worship experience happens with accompaniment cds. Our church has grown from 11 to 100 in 3 years. Someday, we'll have more of the things you suggest, but we do have authentic, "praising God" worship! And we do plan to "usher our congregation into the presence of God!" Thank you so much for what you do for your church and others. Dr. Patricia H, Charleston, SC
Just a note to let you know your free downloadable worship music has been ministering to us in recent months of deep trial and sorrow. During the long nights when I couldn’t sleep, God led me to your website - I downloaded your worship music, and have been playing it each night. What a blessing for us both to hear your voice leading us in worship! All your music is inspiring, but "More than enough...His grace is sufficient" has brought special comfort. Love, (name withheld)
Dear Phil, Thanks so much for your recent [Model Worship] article for Integritydirect.com! It was very inspiring and wonderfully written. Keep doing awesome things for God. Beth G, Martinsburg, WV
Wow - a reminder from the Holy Spirit of what He can do...worth reading twice... Pastor Phil, your article on Model Worship is life-changing. Thank you and Integrity Music. I am a young worshipper originally from Togo, West Africa. I have been praying and struggling with fitting in. When I came to the US to go to college, I volunteered on my church’s worship team and at first felt out place, because I did not know much about all the trendy guys/bands. I also felt out of place because I was a dark brother at an almost all-Caucasian church. I just wanted to worship God, but as I’ve struggled with sounding like the 'cool' worship leaders. Fitting into our worship band, I’ve increasingly been frustrated with myself and have been giving fake worship. I was preparing to lead a mid-week service, going through my usual dilemma of pleasing everyone by picking the "right set," when I stumbled on your article. What a turning point! The Lord has been speaking to me to just let go and give Him authentic worship from my heart and reading your article confirmed what the Lord has been impressing on me. I need to go back the original goal of worship. My prayer is for the Lord to transform my heart and make into the kind of worshipper He wants me to be. Thank you and thank you so very much. God Bless you tremendously! Jim T., Vallejo, CA [About 10 Secrets of Life I Learned Leading Praise] Thank you so much for writing everything that I feel, especially your comment on the giving up and working for Walmart remark, I laughed so hard I cried, thank you for your blunt honesty! I look forward to reading more. In Christ, Tami, Las Vegas, NV
I enjoyed what you had to say in this article when it was on the Integrity Music website back in May/June. I wanted to use parts of it for a devotional to our worship team next week, but can’t find it! Appreciate your help! Ken L, Johnston, IA
Phil, your [Model Worship] article really cracked me up! Man, if we started doing authentic worship how'd anyone make any money? Mark M. (city not given) My response: Mark - this had to be written with tongue firmly in cheek...!
Phil, thanks for your insight and humor [in Model Worship]. I laughed out loud and woke up the church staff! Peace and prayers to you! Doug W, Temple, TX
"Dear Phil, I am part of a small independent church in Yucatan, Mexico. Your [Model Worship] article is a description of what we have lived for 25 years. I give thanks to God for isolating us to do what he wants in us and through us. We have had no outside influence from Christian music for 25 years. Our pastor has written over 1000 songs all in Spanish. We have truly lived the Scripture you quote (1 Peter 2:9). You may find it interesting also that all our musicians sit among the people in the congregation. [Since I know]the Lord has used you as a [worship development] missionary, I put forth an invitation. It would be great to talk to you and maybe you could visit us. The doors are open and you would be very welcome in our home here in Mexico. We could use help in adjusting our roles in worship. Some of our needs are technical, amplifiers and improving the way we work together. God bless you very much - prayer goes out with this." Debbie L, Yucatan, Mexico
Phil, though you ask the reader to please not misunderstand [in Model Worship], if your point is not that only original praise music/songs is/are appropriate, I would say it's impossible to read your article and not misunderstand. Perhaps, as your disclaimer briefly provides for, you are not saying that which I am disagreeing. But as the leader of a worship team that's serious about pursuing God and worshipping Him, but that plays mostly "covers," its hard for me to read your thoughts and then not stick up for those who seem to be missing the mark you have set. Corbett R, Morris, IL My response: I'd hoped to challenge us to pour the same creativity and passion into a Fanny Crosby Hymn or a Chris Tomlin tune that we might pour into our own songwriting...but if God grants us the skill of a songwriter, we should absolutely use it!
"Genuine worshipers are forever staggering from straight shots of a 200 proof encounter with the Living God." What an image! I loved it! Thank you, Lynda L., Harrisburg, VA
Hi Phil, May I have your permission to print out and share your Worship Team Dictionary with my worship team? I think they would really enjoy it. God bless, Catherine S, city not given

I look forward to reading more. In Christ, Tami, Las Vegas, NV
- [I am] from Mombasa, Kenya. I read your [Blues Debut] article about Musicianship. I am a worship leader and would not want to be a star but a worshipper who leads people right into the presence of God. I...want to learn more if you have any more articles I would love to receive them. J. Nyende, Kenya, Africa
- [Regarding Frank Garlock's Videos] Thank you for your honest evaluation of [this man's] lack of scriptur[al support for his position.] I am a deacon at our church and we have been transitioning away from the Garlock school of thought. We have a worship Pastor, who is Afro-american, and he has jazz roots. He is theologically sound and his favorite phrase is "chapter and verse please!" The other day he said, "when I arrived here I was in culture shock and couldn't figure everyone out, then I found this series of [Garlock] videos and now I understand where they are coming from." He has been with us for the past two years and has methodically moved us in the right direction (more scriptural). We have lost some people but for the most part all are moving forward. Again I do appreciate your candid approach and help in knowing that the road we are taking is good. Your brother in Christ, John Z, Sellersville, PA
- [The Worship Team Dictionary was] Great work. Enjoyed it immensely. An instant classic! E. Gillies, Okemos, MI
- After reading some of your other articles and the part in your "Who's Phil?" article that says "I read 8 books at a time, then ponder the key principles of those books for years" and "Details and routines weary me to tears," it lets me know that if we ever met, we would have a lot to talk about. Your insight into Worship is outstanding. You write what I feel inside and would like to say but can't. May God continue to use you to inspire and teach the Body of Christ about true Worship. M. - Bro. Christensen, Greetings! The words that you share in the Integrity articles are amazing! I could cry, because just when I need to learn something or be reminded of something, I can read your articles and they are so real and on time for me. I am one of the Co-Worship facilitators at a three-year old, explosive ministry in Houston, TX. I will keep your words of wisdom close by as we journey through this season. Thanks for sharing. In HIS Name, S. Jones, Houston, TX
- Brother Phil, thank you for your article posted on the Integrity Music website entitled, "Lessons From Newport 1965." This is timely for me because as a fellow Worship Pastor, I am dealing with some of these issues that you discussed. Your insights will go a long way in helping me to address these issues. For one, I am having a change of heart about the use of acoustic drums as oppose to electronic drums. Yesterday, I made a call to a sound engineer in our area to come. Again, thank you for your wonderful article. With much Appreciation, V. Thomas, Princeton, FL
- Brother Phil, Thanks so much for the American Idol article. (Integrity's newsletter) Your insightful comparisons will help us to keep our eyes focused properly. Great job with that inspired (and inspiring) article. B. Whalen, Cynthiana, KY
- Came across your website through a worship article in an Integrity Music newsletter. I have enjoyed looking at your website and reading your articles. I am listening to "When I Paint My Masterpiece." I LIKE IT! [private notes here] I like the site - God bless you. B. Menge, Illinois
- CHEF Phil, The [Rebel with a Clarinet] article blessed me. I would be interested in any information you may be willing to share through literature and in email or conversation. I realize I am a stranger to you but I believe in the Purity of the Worship we present to God's People! Also do you offer seminars or workshop that can attended? E. Phillips, Gainesville, FL
- Dear beloved Phil Christensen, A warm Calvary greetings to you on behalf of all the Christians of Singapore. I like your article on "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" God bless you, your ministry and your family exceedingly abundantly. Praise the Lord Jesus for your talents and giftings. M. Ang, Singapore
- Dear Bro. Phil, I really enjoyed your [10 Secrets] article on things you've learned as a worship leader over the years. I was even more intrigued by your assignment from the Lord as a worship development missionary. I think that's awesome, because I'm just learning the terms of ethnodoxology and the like. Its just amazing to me what the Lord is doing right now. You encouraged me and I thank you! Sincerely, E. Arthur, City Not Given
- Dear brother, I have failed to get your music here in our country [but would like to listen to] your songs. I believe and trust that if I ask from you, I will receive some thing from your hands in Jesus' name! Kindly send me one or two of your CD's and let the blessings of God flow into my home as I listen to them. I will be grateful to receive them. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR MINISTRY ABUNDANTLY IN JESUS' NAME! Kasompe B, Chililabombwe Open Brethren Church, Copperbelt, Zambia
- Dear Pastor Christensen: I am the newsletter editor at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Clarksville, TN. I recently received an issue of Integrity Today in which you wrote an article entitled "The Secrets of Life I Learned While Leading Praise." I was so encouraged (and challenged) by your words, and would love to share them with my church. Is it possible to get permission to print the article in our church newsletter? God bless you and your ministry! R Shaw, Clarksville, TN.
- Dear Pastor Phil, I'm from Indonesia. The reason why I send you this email is to ask your permission regarding two of your articles at Songs4Worship.Com. The titles are Worship Team Wisdom and American Idol: Three Lessons for Worship Leaders. I, on behalf of my church publication team, want to use both articles for our weekly newsletter which is published every Sunday for free. We are looking forward for your reply. Thank you very much and God bless you, Pastor Phil. Best regards, G. Kolanus, Indonesia
- Dear Pastor Phil, I'm writing from Kinshasa, I am a Congolese from Africa. I am young in this ministry of worship leader and this is my second time to read your articles to tell the truth you have something from God. So I wanted just to encourage you for what you're doing for the body of Christ. Let our Lord continue to bless you and strengthen you to go on with the work He gave you. Please, allow me to write you when I can. I'm looking forward reading you. P. Bumba, Conga
- Dear Phil - Thanks for you article on the lessons that American Idol teaches about leading worship. I am a worship leader at a church in Ohio. Your point about character resonates with many of us. When I look out over my church family on Sundays, I remind myself that I serve each and every one of them and that God calls me to be a faithful shepherd. I think the heart attitude will spread to our worship teams, choirs and other volunteers in our ministries. Finally, I agree wholeheartedly that God calls worship leaders to "make his praise glorious" and that ultimately are goal is not to be liked (which so many of us artist types, including myself, crave) but to be faithful to God in ministering the gospel through worship and fair in our judgments and decision-making with regard to who sings on mic, solos, etc. Hopefully, along the way, we are liked and loved by those that serve with and under us in ministry. Thanks again for your article! Sincerely, P. Vertucci, Dublin, Ohio
- Dear Phil, I am glad to know about the great saints of GOD who are working for His glory, I read about you from the site songs4worship. I am student of business administration but more than that I am a small sheep of that flock whose shepherd is Lord Jesus. I am 19 years old and accepted Jesus as a personal saviour at the age of 15. It is my burning desire to share the blessing of the worshiping by your kindness for the glory of the body of Christ. God bless you in His all blessings. S. Gulzar, Quetta, Pakistan
- Dear Phil, I enjoyed your worship article on integrity music. I am a worship leader for 17 years, I was raised in southeast Asia, in the Philippines. I've been in United States for 4 years and by the grace of God I recorded my first cd last November of 2003. I'm really blessed with your article. God bless you. F. Ward, Atlanta, GA.
- Dear Phil, I had to check you out and went to your church's and your thronetogether websites, and I laughed out loud when I read your musical debut story. Even though we have never met, I feel we are kindred spirits in a lotf ways. Keep up the good work and may God continue to bless (empower you to prosper) you and your family and your assignment. M. Clayton, City not given
- Dear Phil, I have often wondered about those otherworldly praise songs, and was interested to read the results of your research. The online article from Integrity kindled my interest once again and I began to do a little research and pondering of my own <marvelous personal insights here>. Thank you for your article, Pastor Phil. It served as the catalyst to a great time with the Lord. May the Lord bless you as you serve Him. A. Reitzugm, Graham, Washington
- Dear Phil, I just wanted to give you feedback on your articles on Worship via Integrity Music. Your articles are great. I printed them all, and read them over and over, as I ponder through the scriptures researching praise and worship. Can you please let me know what books you have written? I would love to check them out. Thanks, Phil! R. Ramirez, no city given
- Dear Phil, I saw your article and felt compelled to write you. I seldom write and am finding that I need to listen to that little voice in my heart. I feel a push in this area of ministry but feel so inadequate; could you recommend some additional seminars or reading to enhance my skills as a worship leader? The feeling of God while we sing is so strong I have to fight tears back. But I also feel the gentle hand of God that there is something more on the horizon and to prepare. Have a great day, and God Bless. D. Roy, Paonia, CO
- Dear Phil, really enjoyed your article; it hit right at home. I have been music secretary for a couple of years and feel this is so true and useful information. Thanks for all your hard work. S. Brecheen, Prarieville, LA
- Dear Phil, Thank you for your humorous but insightful article about your "Blues Debut!" It sounds like some of my experiences, also. Blessings on your day! Jessica B, Phoenix, AZ
- Dear Phil, thank you very much for this small article. I sometimes leave a worship service feeling, "what's the use?" It's true that it's the timing of God. He can have His perfect will in us, by us, and through us as willing vessels. Thanks for your time in the ministry of worship and your wisdom to budding worship leaders like myself. Continue the good work and thank you. Sincerely, La Wanna, City Not Given
- Dear Phil, thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom in the article from Integrity Worship. I am presently on sabbatical from my worship leader's role but feel the Lord gently putting me back on the horse. Your last comment in the article really touched home for me. You can read a passage so many times but when someone uses it in such a relevant way it really makes a difference. Thank you for ministering to me. In the Master's Service, J. Goff, City Not Given
- Dear Phil, thanks for the great story about Melinda! She certainly was an inspiration for many people and used that forum well. Jordin Sparks, the winner of Season 6, is a member of our church and spoke highly of Melinda (her roomate during the show). We are enormously proud of Jordin and are praying fervently that her young faith will continue to grow and flourish in spite of the platform that she has been placed upon. May God Bless your ministry, Robin D, city not given

- Dear Phil: I printed your article on February 8th - have kept it on my desk and read it several times - have yellow highlighting all over it - re-read it today and thought I would send you a note of encouragement! I so appreciate your wisdom on paper. I was so reminded of the 'essentials' which I'm fully aware of but can be distracted from when the 'near lethal doses of criticism' arise. Your article blessed and encourages me to 'press on'. Thank you for your words of wisdom and truth. In Christ, Anne M., city not given
- Dear Phil: I read this article today and wanted to take a moment to let you know that I am greatly blessed. Not only by the fact that, as a (volunteer) worship leader, I'm the only one who loves watching "American Idol", but by the fact that there is so much in what you had to say that we have been trying to convey to our worship team. Authenticity, integrity, and excellence! Thanks again and may God abundantly bless you and the ministry He has called you to. R. Wash, Bremerton, WA
- Dear Phil: Thank you for your insightful article on a topic (VIP's) that has continued to be a mystery to all of us who write music or play an instrument. If we really listen, we will hear the sounds of heaven on the earth...Man created instruments to "play along" with creation. We in our modern world, have perhaps distorted some of its beauty, but still, we are to be always pointing to the Father, the Author, the Giver of gifts, as the One who delights in our desire to be like Him. In Christ, S. Puleo, Santa Rosa, CA
- Dear Phil: I read this article today and wanted to take a moment to let you know that I am greatly blessed. - God's blessings to you, I lead worship, with a group of 3 guys and our keyboard girl who is 15 years old. I am so in love with Jesus and sometimes lose myself in worshiping him and forget to look on the "choir" to see if they are entering in. Thank you for your lesson about American idols. Walking by faith, washed in the blood, & living in love, Donna, West Virginia
- Good morning, Phil! Mel and I and our son, have read your recent article entitled, "To Treasure the Truth," and LOVED it! We forwarded it through to our worship team. You are delightful in how you expressed your quandary to know which verses were your favorites. We related to it much, and wanted to say "Thank You" for communicating it so well. It was really fun to see your name, photo, and article on the Integrity News email! Mel and I were so blessed to have met you and were touched wonderfully by your loving spirit and the Lord's grace through you. Keep up the "good fight of faith" today...Thanks, again! Peace, Randall and Melanie B. (Houlton, Maine)
- Grace and peace dear Phil, My name is Ryan, and I am a worship leader at my local church, here in Brasilia, Brazil. I was tremendously touched by your teaching at Integrity's website. Even though I'm not too old, I am 26, I face all things that you said in my life, sometimes is hard to handle with all these situations...[the rest is personal]. In Christ, Ryan, Brasilia, Brazil
- Great [Am Idol] post - You go Phil!! I get so tired of seeing a praise/worship band think *they* are the main attraction. I've been to some services where the singing is more like a concert than it is corporate worship. Worship is to be God centered, not man centered. BTW, that can even happen in a traditional, fundamental church, too (and I'm a pastor of a traditional, fundamental church...). No one is immune. Great article and right to the point. God is the most important in our worship and no matter how we do it - rock, traditional, rap, mime, etc... we're to be centered on God. I'm glad to see someone say that. David S, city not given
- Hello Phil - Thank you for the article, "Ten Secrets I learned in Life While Leading Worship" - Very encouraging, challenging and invigorating. It's just what I need to read, the "meat" I needed to be challenged and grow. I pray I'll get a chance to be on the worship team at my new church, I play guitar and sing. God Bless You and thanks again for the AWESOME article, Cheryl T., Chico, CA
- Hello Phil, I am called Bob Muyanja, am a Ugandan (East Africa). Am a worship leader at our local church here in our town in Entebbe. I was on the Integrity Website and read your article, "Will You still love me tomorrow?" I read it before but this time it hit me even further and I realized somehow many times that real and after walking away it's all a different world and many times I've lost that love I proclaimed even as a worship leader! I was so blessed and can't remain the same. Just pray for me and the guyz here on our team - I'm definitely going to share this with everyone. Hope all is well at CHEF. God bless u and your family. Love Bob, Entebbe, Uganda
- Hello Phil, I read your [Can God Bank on You] article on the songs4worship site and liked it very much. You made some great observations and practical applications. I would very much like the members of my team to see and read it. Can I attach a link to our page which would make this article accessible? Thanks, A. Streder, San Luis Obispo, CA
- Hello Phil...I just read your article (Rebel with a Clarinet), and oh how it touched me with great conviction. I am a drummer. I have been playing for 20+ years and I love it with all my heart. It is truly my passion. As I read your article I quickly re-titled it to "Rebel with a Drum Set!" You are so right about how we, as musicians, have a piece of Miss Phoebe hiding in us. Long story short, I have repented to God for my smug feelings towards my worship leader and I thank you for archiving that article that I might see how the enemy was using me to choke the very essence of life out of me and my worship team. God bless you! Eva S, Atlanta, GA
- Hello, I was reading one of your articles, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," on the internet and I just felt I had to write to you. Thank you very much for the insight. Aim Tinashe, Zimbabwe
- Hello, I'm from a litle town called Sapulpa, in Oklahoma, and I enjoyed your story about Bo and Carrie. It encouraged me to let my daughter know she can become what God wants her to be. She should perform her best, but God wil take of his people when they put him first in their lives. She is only 16 years old and plays the piano. May God bless you in everything you do. Love in Christ, T. Fulton, Sapulpa, OK
- Hey Phil - Just finished reading your article, Worship Team Wisdom. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if you could help me out: our church is hosting a Missions Conference next month and I'm looking for as much P&W music as I can find that is specific to evangelism and missions. Can you recommend some music that may be along those lines? Thanks very, very much. J. Gurnett, Martinez, CA
- Hey Phil - we met back at the WL Summit in 2004, when Bob Kauflin was there. Anyway, I saw your picture in the article of this month’s Integrity Today, and I just had to say hi. I really thought your article was right to the point on many fronts. I think my favorite is the one on the middle man, mainly because most sound guys are not trained well. Your words regarding that topic are extremely important as it relates to having a good ‘sound’ and communicating the gospel effectively. Anyway, it was good to see your face. Hope you’re doing well, C. Negley, Chicago, Ill.
- Hi Pastor Phil, I have read your worship article, American Idol Chatter and I'm so blessed and thankful for your sharing it. Thanks and God Bless you and your ministry. Shiela E, West Vancouver, Canada

- Hi Phil! I just received a couple of CD's from Integrity and included in the package was your article on "Ten secrets of life I learned while leading Praise." - Hi Phil, First of all, I wanted to say thank you for the article about the 10 words of wisdom for worship teams. I was trying to find a way to say these things to my worship team, and that summed it up. Thanks! [Balance is personal] F. Smith City Not Given
- Hi Phil, I come from a relatively small church in Malaysia. I just read your article titled "Ministry Matters: Worship Team Wisdom." Many thanks. I take care of the people in the worship team, mainly the musicians as I am a keyboardist myself. Will you give me some advice on a few situations that we are facing? Our team is quite young, consist of people between age 20-27. Look forward to hearing from you. J. Tan, Malaysia
- Hi Phil, I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely loved your American Idol article. It really meant a lot to me to have someone else catch crazy stuff like that. To read someone else's insight makes me feel like I'm not alone. Thanks Again! E. Ramirez, City Not Given
- Hi Phil, I want to thank you for the article [Can God Bank on You?]; it was a blessing to me. I would like to share it with people who don’t speak English. Can I translate it to Spanish? Thanks! Oralia O, Midwest Baptist Conference
- Hi Phil, It's nice to hear that Jesus Himself is in control of our music; and it is He that we're playing and praising for. I used to write and play music to please myself and the drinking and drugging crowd; but since I heard His call, my (His) music has changed in every way! Most of all , in the message! Thank you Lord, and may the music that You give us be given back to You and whoever is listening (10-1,000 people) in a spirit of love and acceptance. Bless your ministry Phil. Your brother in music, Tim S., city not given
- Hi Phil, May I have your permission to print out and share your Worship Team Dictionary with my worship team? I think they would really enjoy it. God bless, Catherine S, city not given
- Hi Phil, My wife and I are planting a church in Washington. I read your article Ministry Matters: Worship Team Wisdom, in Crosswalk...nice work. J. Harter, Mt. Vernon, WA
- Hi Phil, thanks a lot for the wonderful article, "Can God Bank on You?" It has really blessed me. I pray [that the] King of Kings; Lord of Lords will continue to grant you divine wisdom. God will bless you richly, Nike E, Lagos Nigeria
- Hi Phil, Thanks for the article "The American Idol." I actually came across this article when I put a search in Google for "Worship Leader vs. Lead Worshipper." I have been leading worship at my church for the past 7 years, recently, my Pastor chose and anointed me as a Lead Worshipper in my church and…I had already been having a sense of urgency…about how I lead the people of God into His presence. [personal thoughts] I just know I want more and I don't know what to do to get there. I have prayed and fasted and prepared and all of that but honestly, my heart still yearns for more…I want to do better but most of all I always want it to be real! Greetings to your Beauty Queen and family, Kind regards, N. Nwokochah, London, England
- Hi Phil, I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely loved your American Idol article. It really meant a lot to me to have someone else catch crazy stuff like that. To read someone else's insight makes me feel like I'm not alone. Thanks Again! E. Ramirez, City Not Given
- Hi, dear friend in Christ. I'm so glad hear your name as worship leader because my dream is to become one of them soon by the grace of God. I 'm a musician singer and worship and praise-songwriter. I'm living in Chicago. My dear friend I will be glad if I can hear from you because I need somebody experienced to talk to. N. Kodzovi, Chicago, IL
- Hi, Phil - I ran across your website and thought I'd write! I attend Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fargo, ND (we're nothing like the movie). First of all, your "dictionary" of worship terms is hilarious! Many-a worship leader is far too serious! I conduct worship workshops (Wonders of Worship) and was wondering if I could get permission to read some of the definitions off your list during my workshops? They would be a good ice breaker and would really shed light on what many think, but few dare to say! Until the twinkling of an eye, Kelly T., Fargo ND
- Hi, Phil - thanks for the Integrity News. I once thought like George and Dora ("My Blues Debut") – and that was after hearing a wonderful, Godly man sing and play his guitar at an evening service, back in 1969. Fortunately for me, I kept my thought to myself. He later became a good friend and formed the Alaska Natives group in Anchorage. I’m glad Phil Christensen didn’t give up. May God continue to bless you and your ministries. Thanks for reminding me what a friend I have in Jesus and that He is always with me. D. Covey, AK
- Hi, Phil, Thanks for the article you wrote about Melinda Doolittle. I've read it twice now! Patty F, Durham, NC
- I enjoyed the article [Idol Chatter] about Melinda. I knew there was something special about her! Out of curiosity, what does this mean in your bio "married to Mitzi, the Beauty Queen?" Sherry V, Johnston, Iowa
- I enjoyed what you had to say in this article when it was on the Integrity Music website back in May/June. I wanted to use parts of it for a devotional to our worship team next week, but can’t find it! Appreciate your help! Ken L, Johnston, IA
- I have to admit I usually delete the Integrity e-newsletters. However, this article you wrote really resonates with me and my desire to please Jesus and lead his people in His praises. As a worship leader I am always dealing with change and could relate to each example you gave. Thanks for the insight. Great article and I guess I will not be so quick to delete things coming from Integrity. K. Stanley, Milwaukee WI
- I just read your article on Crosswalk.com and wanted to thank you for your wisdom. It was so simply put yet so profound. Thanks again, B. Robinson, Newport News, VA
- I just read your worship team wisdom article on the Integrity Website and I thought it was supurb! Your top ten worship team wisdom tips were packed with good stuff. With love, P., Santa Maria CA
- I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your article (Amer. Idol). I serve on the worship team as a pianist and singer. I have been serving for 11 years and unfortunately, I have seen us slowly slip into a "performance" mentality towards worship in music, wanting to please the congregation and get their applause rather than bringing glory to our Lord Jesus. This article has helped us to stay focused on what matters most. B. Mills, Seattle, WA
- I just wanted to thank you for your article on worship. a friend emailed it to me today, and it blessed me so much. In fact the tears were flowing. Worship does matter, and sometimes it is good to hear someone else remind us of it. Thank you, may God bless you today for being a blessing to me. M. O'Callaghan, Scottsville, KY
- I just wanted you to know I enjoyed your article [Idol Chatter] about Melinda. And, not to take anything away from the young lady that won the title of "American Idol" - Melinda was far and away the best one they had this year. I hope she will put out a Gospel Album. That would be wonderful - like the icing on the cake. Thank you, Delores M, Houston, Texas
- I LOVED THE DEFINITIONS!!! The [Worship Team Dictionary] will be posted in my office tomorrow!! Monica, city not given
- I read your article on the Integrity website (Can God Bank on You?) it was very beneficial! Name not given, Bossier City, LA
- I read your article online at Integrity Music (Can God Bank on You?). I'm a worship leader too, but have been having a tough time leading people into God's presence. What should I do? And how can I improve my composition and intrumental ability? Hope to hear from you soon. John O, City not given.
- I read your recent article, "Will You Still Love Me" on Crosswalk.com and I was moved to tears. Now I can't get the song out of my head and it changes the way I think about what I'm doing every day. And I still cry when I sing the song, thinking about how fickle I am in my walk sometimes. Thank you so much for the learning opportunity. It fits right in with what God's been doing in my life for the last month. S. Huntley, Everett, WA
- I really thought a lot of your article, Worship Team Wisdom. God has impressed me to develop several of these points in our worship team this coming year. Thanks for giving me your insight. L. Pickett, Westminster, MD
- I sit here with tears streaming down my face the reality of what I've just read in your article, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow. I am a member of a praise and worship team at CrossPointe Church in the Tampa Bay area and just wanted to say thank you. God bless you, your ministry and your church. R. Lyle, Tampa Bay, FL
- I thoroughly enjoyed [the Am Idol] article. Thank you. Our worship leader has a habit of shaking his head in disgust every time one of the band members "misses" a note. He also apologizes openly to the congregation when they don't "nail" a song. My heart breaks for him every time he does this. I truly believe in excellence in all God's work, and that means that the praise team and band play to their utmost ability. But how can one be so thoroughly focused and crushed by a few mistakes in the midst of worshipping our God who is so worthy of our highest praise? Beck, city not given
- I want to thank you for the article that was published at the integrity music web (Will You Love Me Tomorrow?). Our Worship Leader stepped down sometime last November. It was a relevant message to all of us. I have forwarded it to my team members. A. Josef, NJ
- I want to thank you for your article regarding what we as worship leaders can take away from this year's American Idol. It pains me to see what has happened within the Church with regards to worship; while we have a very vibrant and authentic worship movement happening globally, so many times I see, at the local level, people just going thru the motions. Leading worship seems to have become more about presentation than exultation. And then we wonder why (at least in our little church) people cannot get fired up on a Sunday morning. Leading worship is a very serious responsibility, not a hobby or something to be done just because you like music. It is a calling from God. Oh how I wish more worship teams were made up of people who are called by God to this ministry. We might actually see revival break out across this land. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this article. Christine A, Michigan
- It was great to read the article called "Phil's Top Ten Bits of Worship Team Wisdom." Thanks for passing on your insights. D. Willey, John Day, OR
- It's so nice to come to work and first thing get inspired. I was on the cranky side coming to work this morning, until I read your article (Mints and Musicians). I can certainly relate to the story. Thanks my friend, Blessing, R. VanKreiken, Sisters, OR
- Just a note to let you know your free downloadable worship music has been ministering to us in recent months of deep trial and sorrow.
- Just ran across your worship dictionary. Laughed my head off! Thanks for sharing. [Keyboardist] J. Bandy, Kentucky
- Love this [Worship Team Dictionary]. I plan on sending it to my worship team members. Kevin W, city not given
- Mr. Christensen, I absolutely loved the article "Can God Bank on You?" I was checking my e-mails between class, had to print it and became distracted in class because I had to read it right then. The information was timeless and priceless. It really jolted me back from being so slack concerning the Praise and Worship Ministry. After reading this article, I am going to purpose to make more time for me and God in this ministry and I hope you will pray my strength. You are YET blessed - your sister in Ohio, Coni H, OH
- Pastor Phil, I am writing to you from Baton Rouge. I just read your article, and wanted you to know that you are "spot on". God has to be the focus of your music and your mission. I personally believe that if you have a "Christian" band, but no mission, you're playing for others...not to One. Great job on your article! In His Service, B. DiChiara, Baton Rouge, LA
- Pastor Phil, Greetings from Northeast Indiana! I am an asst. music director at my church here, and thought your featured article on Vertical Music (relating to American Idol) was absolutely fantastic. I [plan to] make copies and share it with my entire worship team. Thanks, A. Diehl, Waterloo, IN
- Pastor Phil, greetings to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I got your email address from Integrity Music (where I read "To Treasure the Truth."). I say may God bless your soul abundantly in Jesus name. Though I may not know you, I see a new day, a new hope, and a new dream. I see a new you riding on a new testimony to a new destiny. Welcome to a new era in which God makes it all new for you. Sir, when next I hear from you I will be able to tell you about myself, but greet your lovely queen and kids for me. I am a Nigerian and live in Nigeria. Eagerly waiting to hear from you soon. Uche Andrew, Nigeria
- Pastor Phil, I enjoyed reading the article regarding 3 lessons for worship leaders. I'm a relatively new worship leader for our young adults service at South Hills Assembly in Pittsburgh. I agree with you that God has to be the focus of our worship team and worship time. You made very good points also that preparation is important, as well as having a reasonably good sound system, etc., especially in having a good monitor system for the worship team itself. Thanks, G. Sidor, Pittsburgh, PA
- Pastor Phil, your article on Model Worship is life-changing. Jim T., Vallejo, CA
- Phil - Your article in Integrity music online was right on target, referring to the qualities needed to leading worship. My Pastor recently ask me to lead worship for a new service that our Church is staring this coming Fall on Saturday nights; I wanted to ask you if you have any recommended resources you can direct me to in leading a Singles/College age worship service. Your time is appreciated, P. King, city not given
- Phil! Just read your AmIdol article at songs4worship.com and didn't know it was you until the credits rolled! So that means this response is genyoowine. I was tracking with you all the way, thinking this is one of those "forward to your friends" articles. I particular, three things jumped out at me: Leave your gig mentality behind (loved the language of "humbly supporting the praises of God's people"), God is eminently worthy of elbow grease, and the spectator thing. I'm proud to know you. :) R. Shenk, Clackamas, OR
- Phil, [Dylan: Newport '65] thanks for the relevant packaging of the truths I regularly need to hear as a worship leader. Your choice of illustration makes perfect sense to me. Buster, city not given
- Phil, as much as I appreciated and enjoyed your thoughts of Melinda, let's also remember, she was room mates with Jordan the whole time and taught Jordan many things. The most valuable thing I believe she taught Jordan was to stay true to herself and to God, if you remember, Jordan is also a Christian. At 17, I believe that Jordan has a bright future ahead of her also in the industry and in her love for the Lord. Much love and God Bless, Tammy L., city not given
- Phil, bless you my brother! I just wanted to say thank you for taking time to write the article for Songs 4 Worship. Well Done! May your heart remain sensitive to the words of our Master! I look forward to your next article. God Bless! A. Forman, Union, KY
- Phil, Great article at Integrity Music. That’s a terrific story, and I’ll be sending the link to all of our worship team members. Would love to connect with you and hear what you’re doing there. Thanks again for the article! CJ, Charlotte, NC
- Phil, great article on Crosswalk.com. I look forward to more. (The whole topic of creativity fueled by the Holy Spirit is fascinating to me. God bless your work.) V. Hutchinson, city not given
- Phil, GREAT article on advice for church-worship directors, referencing Melinda Doolittle. Very good points made, and I enjoyed reading it! As to the point about wondering why she didn't make it to # 1, I understand the top finisher has some serious contractual obligations and there's a real loss of control over your own career for a period of time. Perhaps God had other things in mind? That would be my guess! Anyway, I think your advice was right on. Joan R, Central Oregon
- Phil, I am an aspiring worship leader (i.e. someone who has a lot to learn <g>) that enjoyed your dictionary along with the rest of our worship team. Thank you for your humor! My favorite is the Vibrato - Good one! B Sobraske, Atascadero, CA
- Phil, I enjoyed your article [Idol Chatter] on Melinda Doolittle. I passed it on to our worship team. I was convicted on the "having an agenda" part at times with being a songwriter also, and wanting to take the songs to the next level. Thanks for helping me get perspective. I am an Australian born and raised and was encouraged by your comments about Darlene and Hillsong. I believe that God can use us in ministry, and as long as we move at His speed, then the Peace that He gives will follow, Rom 5:1. My Pastor says sometimes "Slower is Faster", Taking the time to get it right and perfect the skills He gives can make a different in the impact on the people who are being ministered to. That is my lesson I got from your article, and thanks once again. God Bless, Geof, Australia
- Phil, I just read "My Blues Debut," which (Integrity's) Songs for Worship sent me in an e-newsletter. I want to tell you that the article was very inspirational. I am going through the same thing that you did at 13...only I'm 28! I was ready to just give up...until I read your article. Now I know what I must do - I have a mission to fullfil and if it's God's Plan for me to continue He will help me every step of the way. Tracey, city not given
- Phil, I just read your [Model Worship] article.
- Phil, I just read your article about the 15 objections to renewal in worship - wow! Very impressive! I look forward to strolling around your site! J. Presley, City Not Given
- Phil, I just read your article in Integrity Today called "Ten Secrets Of Life I Learned While Leading Praise." As I read your article, I found my self nodding emphatically in agreement. Point by point, our Lord has taught me the same lessons. Several are almost exact expressions I use with my team nearly every week. Just wanted to complement you, my friend, on an article personally felt and understood by a fellow laborer. Chasing Him, D. Higgs, Harrisburg, IL.
- Phil, I just read your article on Integrity Music and I wanted to tell you that you have encouraged me in my efforts as praise team leader at our church. What you said reflected what my feelings have been so many times. Thank you for your encouragement and sharing. C. Benson, Victoria, TX
- Phil, I just read your Integrity article entitled "American Idol: Three Lessons for Worship Leaders". It was so well done, and made such an impression on me I just had to write and say "thanks!" Authenticity, character, and quality...that really summarizes what our worship efforts and the product of our efforts is all about. I forwarded the article to all of our worship team members. I am the worship leader for a local church here in our community. When so much of what goes on in the "contemporary" church is too often geared to "glitz and glamour", it's refreshing to hear someone express the thoughts of my heart so eloquently. Thanks for your insight! R. Cordle, Chesterfield, VA
- Phil, I just want to say that I enjoyed your piece about worship and American Idol. Thank you for taking the time to share your insights. You have given me a new light on worship. [Balance is personal] Thank you again for the insight, P. Curtis, Lionville, PA
- Phil, I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know that your article Ministry Matters - Worship Team Wisdom April 26, 2005 in Crosswalk.com, really lifted my spirit and encouraged me. I am a worship leader at a small Calvary Chapel. May The Lord continue to Bless you! Paul L., Willimantic, CT
- Phil, I loved your Integrity article "American Idol." I hope all worship leaders & team members read this, it was really good & sound advice! God bless, Steve, city not given
- Phil, I read your article on the website "Songs 4 Worship" and just wanted to thank you for your insight. You hit the nail right on the head and your encouragement using Scripture was valuable to me. I will share this with our praise teams. Do you know of any other resources which may be of benefit in regards to worship team leading? Thank you for your time and God Bless. Grant J., Devon, Alberta Canada
- Phil, I really appreciated your American Idol: 3 lessons for Worship Leaders article. I forwarded the article to my wife who is our Worship team leader at our church. (I am just the guy that runs the crummy sound system that is in need of a major upgrade <g>) In any leadership role with in the church, especially today, you must be transparent, honest, humble & as professional as you can be. We have an awesome job of transforming channel surfers into true Living God Worshippers!! Let's hope they continue to Tune Him in! B. Ocker, PA
- Phil, I really loved your Melinda Doolittle story. I hadn't known that she was a Christian music backup singer until I read the liner notes on a Carman House of Praise CD. What a nice discovery. There was no doubt that Melinda was unique among "Idol" performers and not being an "Idol" worshipper, myself, I found her to be special in character (her humility) as well as in her musical gifts. Thanks and God Bless you. Don S., city not given
- Phil, I recently read your "Ten Secrets" article in Integrity Today and enjoyed your insights and revelations so much that I would like to share this information with my music and tech crews. May I ask for permission to create a note for my teams - about 70 copies in all? Thank you in advance of your assistance, K. Jenkins, Jasper AL
- Phil, I saw your worship dictionary at mmiblog.com and loved it. Thanks for the light moment of my day! J. Fletcher, Morrisville, NC
- Phil, I stumbled onto your web site today and I must confess, I have had a hard time getting any work done. I am a volunteer worship leader at a small Southern Baptist church in the Pacific Northwest and truly appreciate all you have written regarding contemporary worship music in today's church. I have been involved in church music all my life in some capacity or another. I grew up in an organ and piano hymn environment and it has taken several years of attending Promise Keeper events for me to even get comfortable with the contemporary worship music environment. Your thoughts have encouraged me to press on with our blended worship. Thank you. Dave H, Spokane, WA
- Phil, I thought your article on Melinda Doolittle was very well spoken and was probably very encouraging to her. I am concerned that you unintentionally spoke against another anointed voice that truly loves Jesus Christ. Jordin Sparks is a born again Christian who really had the same goal as Melinda - to glorify God through her voice and actions on American Idol. She did not win it by default. If anything I feel we need to pray for her to continue to follow hard after God in her continued success. and wanted to express his love through the relationships she made on the show. Each of us are unique in the way God created us, as well as in the way we express his love and grace. Sincerely,Teri G.
- Phil, it was nice reading your article (American Idol). I lead worship in my local church and most of the things stated are the things we face but I thank God because of Jesus the greatest song leader! Do you have articles or notes on how to handle worship in different moments and experiences? C. Chasela, Lilongwe Africa
- Phil, just read your post on Model Worship. Great job. Thanks for pointing us to authenticity in our leadership and relationship with the Savior. Hope you’re doing well. Bob K, Sovereign Grace Ministries
- Phil, Thank you for the article posted on Integrity Music's website! M. McDonald, Seattle, WA
- Phil, thank you for the notes you've written called "Worship Team Wisdom." I've just recently taken a position at a church as Pastor of Worship & Community. I've been leading worship for many years, but mostly in the realm of Youth Ministry. Working with adults is quite different in challenges & blessings. I'm looking for as much encouragement as I can get, and your article encouraged me this Monday morning. I could relate to all that you were saying in the article, and plan on passing it around our Praise Band. Blessings, P. Shumski, city not given
- Phil, thank you for your "Worship Team Wisdom." I wholeheartedly agree with that you shared, but could not have put it into words as you have. I will proudly share it with our pastor and others who work to lead worship in our community. God Bless YOU! My heart resonates with your "coal into diamonds" thought - I am looking forward to seeing good results from what seems like a pressure-full time these days. Thank you, Phil, L. Wakins, City Not Given
- Phil, Thank you for your insight and encouraging words. They strengthened and encouraged me. S. Saucedo, Metro City Church, city not given
- Phil, thank you for your interesting article (VIP’s) I found on the Songs for Worship website....I know as a praise team leader when God is using our team and speaking through us. It is nice that you take the time to write these articles and share your insight. It blessed me today to read it. I will share your article with our team next time we meet. Thanks and God Bless. G Jacobs, City not given
- Phil, thanks for the article in Songs 4 Worship on American Idol and the admonishment to us in the praise ministry. I serve in our praise band and hope our team takes to heart the call we have and that you wrote about. In Christ, M. Phillips, Pearland, TX
- Phil, thanks for your insight and humor [in Model Worship]. I laughed out loud and woke up the church staff! Peace and prayers to you! Doug W, Temple, TX
- Phil, Thanks so much for the Crosswalk.com article on Worship Team Wisdom. I'm a solo artist, in full time concert ministry, but the points you raised apply to my situation as well. I had to chuckle at your "get-a-job-at-Wal-Mart" quip, 'cause I've been having that EXACT thought for years! Thanks for the encouraging words. I needed it today. For The Glory Of Christ, Darrell R., Lawrenceville, GA
- Phil, thanks so much - [your article was a] gift of revelation to me. Four months ago, I was asked to assist the full time worship leader, leaving my post in the worship team. Shortly after that, my Pastor announced that we were planting a new church and he asked that I be the main worship leader. Your message was and is so very timely; just yesterday I prayed and asked God to show me how to do this, how to practice and how to prepare. [You gave] me insight that will change the way I think altogether. Thanks again for the article and for offering your email address. L. Nunnery, City Not Given
- Phil, that was a great article (10 Secrets) that I read at vertical music.com by you. I agree to the fullest. I too am a lead worshiper at my church. I appreciate your edification...Keep On! In Him, Justin, Birmingham, AL
- Phil, though you ask the reader to please not misunderstand [in Model Worship], if your point is not that only original praise music/songs is/are appropriate, I would say it's impossible to read your article and not misunderstand.
- Phil, very rarely do I have the time to read the monthly on-line Integrity News article. However, this month I stole the time and what a blessing. As a worship director, this information [Idol Chatter] is timely and can definitely be utilized to encourage and assist in the training of my young worship leaders! Blessings, Max T., Pacific NW
- Phil, where do I find a worship leader like you have described in your [AmIdol] article? G. Hendrickson, city not given
- Phil, your [Model Worship] article really cracked me up! Man, if we started doing authentic worship how'd anyone make any money? Mark M. (city not given) My response: Mark - this had to be written with tongue firmly in cheek...!
- Phil, [Dylan: Newport '65] thanks for the relevant packaging of the truths I regularly need to hear as a worship leader. Your choice of illustration makes perfect sense to me. Buster, city not given
- Phil, I have read your article, "Can God Bank on You?" My church choir is going through a serious stage - the elders had to dissolve it. Do you have any advice to that effect? Sam C, City Not Given
- Phil, I just want to say that I enjoyed your piece about worship and American Idol. Thank you for taking the time to share your insights. You have given me a new light on worship. [Balance is personal] Thank you again for the insight, P. Curtis, Lionville, PA
- Phil: Our worship pastor just forwarded a link with your definitions. It was great. The one definition I'd like to add is what our praise band (I'm the keyboardist) calls "Juniorizing". (Junior is the worship pastor.) This is what occurs when he changes any portion of the song, lyrically or musically, to better suit either his voice or guitar. Each member of the band is supposed to pick this up by osmosis and never miss a beat. Natalie, Bedford, Indiana
- Thank you for your article about Melinda. You were right on target. I have grown into a second worship leader position at a second church and have tried working with those not so happy with a "non-trained" person. I love the passage that says in my weakness He is strong. And He has proven that over and over again. What Melinda did on stage blessed oh so many. And I thank you for sharing the story. It reinforces all those that serve Him, to keep on, and stay on that oh too narrow path. May you continue to be blessed in all you do. Denise S., city not given
- Thank you, Pastor Phil, for your article on Integrity's web-site! It was very encouraging! J. Santos, city not given
- Thanks for the heart felt words of encouragement regarding our worship of God. I, too have been asking these same questions. B. Buzbee, Carlsbad, CA
- Thanks so much. I've been leading worship for about 20 years at my home church. Your insights were very refreshing and reminded me a lot of what I've been through in working with worship teams and the significance of focus. I appreciate you. R Duarte, San Antonio TX
- Thanks, Phil, for teaching it "real." Spirit & Truth! R. Bloodworth, Boston MA
- The news you were preaching was a blessing to us - what a great, practical sermon! I'm going to type it out and send it to our granddaughter, in hopes it will touch her heart. Sincerely, E. Entrekin Cedar Rapids, IA
- Was encouraged to hear what you said about the character, authenticity of the last two finalists being what won the hearts of people. Our talent is always only for the Glory of God. Just to say I appreciated your comments about the American Idol and how you related this to Worship Leading. M. Atkinson Australia
- While looking for music on Songs 4 Music, I came across your article. It moved me to write to say thanks. It really touched for me things that I have been struggling with. What was key for me is what you said about character and quality. You are right, people can "spot the not" and are looking for someone to lead them to truth. Additionally, the lack of quality should not be excused off. I just thought you should know that your words really impacted me. I don't know where God is going to take me, but I will take your words with me when I go. God Bless you and your family, S. Willis, city not given
- Wow, talk about ministering to my heart. Thank you so much for that article. I have forwarded it to our associate pastor, head of our worship team. We are having similar difficulties and this will minister to his heart also. I have also sent it to another church facing related problems. C. Nelson, City not given
- Your article was very inspiring and encouraging. As, a worship leader myself I truly thank God that you saw something in "The American Idol!" Continue to be true and may God bless you, your family and your congregation. C. Barnes, no city given
- "Dear Phil, I am part of a small independent church in Yucatan, Mexico.
- "Genuine worshipers are forever staggering from straight shots of a 200 proof encounter with the Living God." What an image! I loved it! Thank you, Lynda L., Harrisburg, VA
- (About VIPs Pt 1) I have been writing worship songs for about 4 yrs and am currently working on a book for songwriters in the local church. I am going to address this issue in one of the chapters so this article has helped no end! God bless, Gavin, Bristol UK
